I think you can reply to a newsletter email and I'll get it? I've visited that liquor store with the clown before, but I haven't written about it. I didn't grow up in that area and didn't know about it until reading Weird NJ. My childhood landmark was the ITT Tower, which I did write about in Bad Boy Boogie.
Thank you for articulating all of this so clearly. Access issues are often tangled up in private interests (like permitted private outfitters and guides here in Montana) in ways that are opaque to most people. Still wish I'd had time to visit the Pine Barrens! Next time.
