I can not wait to hold this in my hands! You know it's one of my favorite stories of yours... I got so lost in this book! The imagery is incredible, and the story is just amazing. I think it brings us back to that time of being a kid, when our imaginations ran wild and anything was possible. I just love it! So proud of you, and thrilled you pushed forward and put this out!!!! ❤️
This is so exciting! I’m going to wait for hardcover because I want to hold that gorgeous cover in my hands. Vyx & their friends & their adventures are one of my core pandemic memories & helped pull me through — I’m so glad I get to meet them again on the other side. (Or other side-ish. Like Vyx, the world got changed by that time & we’re never completely going back.)
I love this Tom. I went through a period of really wanting to write some kind of urban fantasy myself, inspired by folks like Terry Windling, Charles de Lint, etc. I still harbor a degree of it, as I have always loved all of this stuff too, the similarities across cultures concerning folklore (the Little People are extant in many Native cultures as well, including mine), and etc. Which is a rambling way to say I'm eager to read this book!
Love the cover! So fun. And love the idea of writing on a train and parents being taken over by a government. So is the book YA? I know you have a broad age described, but would you classify it as YA? Middle grade?

Thanks, Hannah! I'm so excited for you to read the final book.
I'm sitting catty corner across the table from Kim right now and she's thrilled to hear your compliments. I love it to bits.
That cover is gorgeous!

It's for everyone, but I'd say the reading level is 12 and up. Middle grade if they're advanced.
