Apparently, Jean Shepherd was buddies with Paddy Chayevsky, who wrote the screenplay for Network, and this particular show, 'Hurling Invective,' was the inspiration for "I'm mad as hell, and I'm not gonna take it anymore!"

Haha, Two Guys from Harrison.

It's so funny hearing Jean Shepherd talk about Route 22 in tones most of us know from A Christmas Story.

Imagine hearing those velvety, dulcet tones on the radio late every night.

OMG you are hysterically funny. Such a trip down memory lane. I mean slob-lane. I grew up in Berkeley Heights near Route 22. I was terrified of that road when I first learned to drive. (Still kind of am.) My Dad taught briefly at the renowned duCret School of Art which was featured in the video. But did I miss Snuffy’s Pantagis Renaissance???

I don't have a lot of memories of Route 22 from my childhood, but I have had to drive it many times, and it is remains terrifying. Our highways were Route 3 and Route 46. They were similar, chock full of shops and restaurants like "char-broilers" where some hash slinger burned meat to a crisp before slapping it on a bun. I think the last time I drove on 22 was to take Sarah to a Japanese hibachi grill, and we got stuck in terrible traffic.

Difference between posts...threads...? Me neither. No matter, it's the word words that I'm after.

I was pondering the app. Why? Because the one thing that keeps me on twitter is the conversations/discussions/arguments about wordy matters and the same function doesn’t quite exist here. But it only works on phones and I want it for desktop work.

Yes, I think that's a big mistake on their part. And I'm not sure we need the app alerting our phones. So I'm sticking to posts and "threads" which I couldn't tell a difference with.
