Ooof, it sucks I missed commenting on this when you wrote it -- I got attacked the next night, the 17th, and I kinda feel like I’m just waking up now. (Well, maybe not waking up -- it’s getting kinda late so I’m actually getting pretty sleepy but in terms of my brain waking up from the attack as a whole, I feel like that’s happening.) Anyway, sorry I missed out on chatting about the Good Place. I remain obsessed with it & I’m so glad you watched it and enjoyed it because surely it’s the only philosophy-based show that’s getting greenlit in our lifetimes.

I'm glad you're feeling better. And we can still talk about it! I like that it says that modern life is so complicated that it's difficult to make good choices, but I feel like it gave us a cop-out. The point is that you can get there if you try. And that the right people are good for each other (or bad, as in Better Call Saul). The show has so much fun. I'm planning a post dedicated to it. Maybe I'll binge it again and see what little things I catch (for example, they mention that Phoebe is the only good person on Friends, and Lisa Kudrow is in the Good Place, as Hypatia!)

OMG, I totally didn't catch that! Yeah, I do feel like there's a lot in there. I read some comment on Twitter that the art above Elenor's bed is nine rings ... as in the nine rings of hell ... so this person was claiming you could predicted from the beginning that she was in hell based on that alone. Which is, whew. I mean, great attention to detail there but I would never in a million years have picked that up. I guess I'm not really an Easter Egg-type person. But yes, I do love the overall message that we do trend towards what we're exposed to, and I like the comparison to Breaking Bad too.
