Generally, I'm with you on how well "An American Werewolf In London" has held up*. But there's one aspect that is seriously dated:
In the blue movie showing at the porno theatre near the end, the on-screen talent is shown relaxing 'hors de combat'. On the bedside table: a can of Tab™️😂
They should have used Fresca, I've got a 12 pack in the fridge. I think they only sell it in the summer here though.
Shame about the Lamb! I remember being thrilled to go and have a Shepherd's pie and a pint when I was 21. I think I took Sarah there once, too. Sign of the times, I guess. London pubs are nearly all chains now, we went to The Grapes in the East End and that was still a classic ale pub, been around since Dickens's time. At least we still have McSorley's in NYC.

*Alas, Greenwich Village's AAWIL-inspired Slaughtered Lamb Pub recently shuttered.

This was indeed not terrible! (At a time when most things are.) Great shot of that woodpecker. Thank you Thomas
This is such a lovely post. My chief criterion for belief in mythic creatures is just how radically they affect my vagus nerve.
