What's in a name? Everything.
As we end the first year of What Pluckery is This, I feel like I'm not conveying what I worry about very well. It doesn't help that I am not just one thing. You've got The Pine Barrens, the voyages of the Taint Hammer, books, music and movies, visiting odd places, lesser known history, road trips, and my thoughts on being a person in America at this most interesting of times.
So… pick one or suggest one in the comments if you like. I'm leaning towards the Whitman one or something like it.
The current name -- and the current format -- are the perfect mix of intriguing, amusing, inspiring, and thought-provoking. And I enjoy the wide variety of topics, themes, and thoughts. I never know what I am going to learn or what new images will fill my head and add new colors to my own thoughts going forward. In short, everything is perfect, just as you have it. I understand the drives to rebrand, reinvent, and create spinoffs -- but my vote is that you’re already doing something wonderful. And brilliant. And authentic. And valuable.
I like your current one best. But “The Flights of Pluckery” that WanderFinder suggested is good. Also WanderFinder is an great name, so trust their vote!
I constantly wonder also if I should change my publication name. This is probably a side effect of being “multitudes” or multipotentialites. So you don’t actually need to change it.
