The Paradox of Tolerance
I’ve turned off paid subscriptions until Substack, which bans pornography, also takes a stand against profiting off of Nazis recruiting members through their website. Charlotte Freeman says what I have to say. Comments are off. If you disagree, that is fine. In fact, I am going to share a counterpoint by Kent Peterson, who worked for Prodigy in the ‘80s when I was a member, right after this.
Kent makes a point here, but Substack already moderates speech; you can’t share pornography here. Sex work is banned, Nazis recruiting and making money is not. So that Rubicon has been crossed.
If you need some good news, this Reddit thread lists a lot of good things that have passed under the radar. Also, I took a time lapse video of the Geminid meteor showers on Wednesday night, and caught a few.
